The Teenage Suicide Project - Test ShotsThe inspiration of this piece comes from the format of the panorama. The panorama has a natural aesthetic beauty because of its wide inclusive nature. In some cases, I find the panorama format to suggest multiple perspectives (i.e. on a corner of a street, looking down both sides.) With that in mind, the idea of a decision was provoked; how different life paths are often dictated by someone’s life choices. The dramatic impact of this piece, dictated through the contrast and subject matter, reflects the results even the smallest decisions can make. The photo also maintains the inclusive, intimate nature for the panoramic format, appropriate for its theme.
In short, this piece was inspired as an anti-bullying campaign through panorama techniques.
